One of the best places on the Taksim square walk. Very warm waiters who explain every item well. The Beyti Kebab is a must try!

Very delicious food, we ordered turkey bean soup. grill chicken, kebap, eggplant ( with pita), baklava, juice with lemon and mint, the grill chicken was the best chicken I ever had, the kebap was also good, the baklava was fresh made, with special ice cream crispy. Good service, they leave you enjoy the food, serve you when you need it, demonstrated us how to eat baklava. We finished everything without leaving single piece left on the plate Although it is located in famous street, however the price was quite good, 2 people, with juice, water, dessert, costs us 2290lira. (We received free water and tea). The only comment I would make is that it will be perfect if the fries can be replaced with pita.

The food was truly delicious, and every dish was prepared with great care. The ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasant and enjoyable—perfect for visiting with friends or family. The staff were very attentive and friendly, making us feel special throughout our visit. It’s definitely a place I’ll come back to, and I can recommend it with confidence!

The dish in the picture is really delicious! And the Keba as well. The green salad is just normal nothing special. Would definitely recommend to try this restaurant. Atmosphere is lovely. Service is nice and quick. They served me water before the meal and tea after.

Accidentally walked in without knowing anything about this place beforehand . What a pleasant surprise : everything was super fresh , delicious vegetarian appetizers , very flavorful Gavurdaci salad , we had a beef casserole and pita with cubed beef: meat was super fresh and so well prepared . Can’t wait try their kebabs next time !

Highly recommend! The food was truly authentic Turkish cuisine. The chicken shishlik had a beautiful charry, smoky flavour and was perfectly cooked. The fish was also well-seasoned and full of flavour. A special shoutout to the owner who understands Mauritian Creole such a lovely and unexpected touch that made us feel right at home! Highly recommend this spot for great food and warm hospitality!!

We really enjoyed our last meal in Turkey at the İstiklal Kebap Restaurant! Beautiful atmosphere, food was fresh and delicious. Amazing quality for Turkish food we’ve had here so far! Staff was inviting and kind, helped us with our jackets, seats and food. Coming back very soon!
